Eng. Mahmoud Haji Ramadan
Project Engineer

Mahmoud Ramadan is the Project Engineer for Jamal Abdul Naseer Road Project. He represents the Ministry of Public Works in the key duty of following and supervising the project’s course of work throughout the execution processes with the (Consultant, Contractor and the Ministry) parties.

He started his career in the Road Sector in the Ministry of Public Works as an assistant engineer in 1988, taking part in numerous projects until advancing to a Project Engineer’s post in 1998.

Mahmoud Ramadan holds a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering Technology, BlueField State College, West Virginia, USA and a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from the College of Technological studies of Kuwait. And is at present a member of the Kuwait Society of Engineers.

He is a constant attendee to road development and road safety conferences and training programs hence resulting to him training new MPW’s Engineers, Kuwait University students and College of Technical Studies students about civil site constructions and road development. Ramadan has also worked in Road Sector Design Department from 1997 to 1998.

A recent participation of his as Project Engineer (MPW) was in the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, and storm water drainage and others services for Abdul Kareem Al-Khatabie Street RA / 111 and has also worked on Salem Al Mobarak Street RA / 30.
Dr. John Andrew Faulkner
Project Director

Dr. John Faulkner is a Project Director for Louis Berger Group / Pace▪ currently based in Kuwait. His responsibilities in Kuwait include establishing and managing a construction supervision team of over 90 engineers, technical and administration staff. His team is responsible for the construction supervision of upgrading the Jamal Abdul Nasser Highway, a one billion dollars project which is considered one of the biggest infrastructure projects in the history of Kuwait.

For nearly 60 years, Louis Berger has been a devoted and trusted partner to U.S. federal, state, and local government agencies; national, provincial, and local governments; multilateral institutions; and commercial industry.

Dr. John Faulkner brings 40 years of vast experience to his current position on Jamal Abdul Nasser Project, His previous appointments as Project Director, Sr. Project Manager, Sr. Bridge Engineer, Project Engineer, Construction Manager saw him engaged on a variety of projects in Thailand, Singapore, Bangladesh, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Dr. John has a diverse experience in a broad range of complex bridge and highway projects and major river crossings projects such as Second Seven Crossing, Jamuna Multipurpose Bridge and Rama 8 Bridge involving both and design and construction management. Dr. John has particular experience involving segmental and balanced cantilever bridge construction using sophisticated launching techniques thus making him a major asset to the Jamal Abdul Nasser Project.

Dr. Faulkner is also affiliated and a Member of Institution of Civil Engineers, MICE, Incorporated Engineer, I.Eng. CEI, Engineers Registration Board, PMP
Tarek Shuaib
Partner, PACE

Since becoming Partner in 2005, Tarek Shuaib has been leading Pace▪, as a Design Principal. Tarek focused on a number of key projects including the Jahra Road Development Project, Jamal Abdul Nasser Highway, Arraya Center, The Avenues Mall, Kuwait Business Town, Central Bank of Kuwait, College of Basic Education, Kuwait International Tennis Complex, Subiya Road, in addition to a number of building and infrastructure projects as well as a number of projects that are now being implemented.

Tarek Shuaib joined Pace▪ in 1988, where he kicked off his career working on a number of esteemed projects such as the Bayan Palace, Central Bank of Kuwait, etc.

Shuaib graduated from the American College in London in 1987 and obtained his Master’s degree in Architecture from Washington University in 1998. Shuaib is a committee member of the Technical Board of the Union of Consulting Offices. He is also an International Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects and Member of Kuwait Society of Engineers.

Pace▪ is a multi-disciplinary architectural and engineering firm established in Kuwait for over 40 years, with offices in Bahrain, Lebanon, Iraq, Tunis and Djibouti. Pace▪ has completed over 1200 projects in Kuwait and overseas ranging from corporate headquarters, college campuses, banks, commercial and residential buildings, transportation, etc.
